MCB Core @ the SEC

The Allston-Science and Engineering Complex’s Molecular and Cellular Biology core provides access to biologically relevant resources including access to instruments, technologies, services, and expertise. The research core, with 1,800 sq. ft of research space,  is committed to bolstering research capacities, enhancing and expanding collaborative capabilities, and accelerating discovery and translation by aiming to support and facilitate faculty, students, and staff in their research.

Our Core

The facility

The core is designed to facilitate you biological research. We have designed our facilities to allow for sample preparation and growth, experimentation, and characterization in one shared lab space.

Expertise

We are here to support your biological scientific inquiries. If we do not have the relevant expertise, we will engage with vendors or other cores at Harvard to support your education and research endeavors.

Equipment

We have a variety of preparatory and characterization equipment in our core. We are also located in the same building as CNS and HCBI satellites for additional characterization equipment. If we do not have the relevant tools/equipment in our facility, we will try to facilitate connections with other cores at Harvard to support your research endeavors.
